Honestly - with the way the firearms / 2A community has been with the "salad days" recently - I figured there was a slight chance that the SF Sidekick for free might be legitimate. I took a gamble but I'm not hurt that it didn't come true.

Look at AR15s...you basically can't give one away in today's market. Crazy when you consider that in early 2013 - an ANIB Colt 6920 was retailing for $3k, and LEO marked ones were pulling more.

Surefire put on an awesome Cyber Monday deal. Can't wait to get my stuff.

So I haven’t kept up with this thread, was this a mistake or glitch on SureFire website OR am I going to get my 2 SureFires I ordered last night for $56.39??

Good. Didn’t know about a keychain light.

Dang, got these 2 light, 4 raptor charging handles for $150, and a 10/22 for $169. This place is great for deals.

They never collected any payment information on the Sidekicks when I ordered three, so really no need to issue a cancellation notice because they aren't releasing a credit card authorization or issuing a refund.

You have an authorization most likely. If they never push through a charge it will auto release in a week or so.

I'm not saying they are going to cancel it, but they need not. They can just not put a charge through. You never paid for the item until it posts.

Yes so did I. Those are auto-generated. That does not mean they will fulfill it. I certainly hope they do as I ordered three sidekicks and two of the regular flashlights. I will pleasantly surprised it they fulfill, I won't be shocked if they don't. A serious discount is one thing, giving away three flashlights for free to how many thousands of people is another thing altogether.

The surefire guy already said in this thread that the sidekick was an error and won’t be filled but the 6px was a cyber Monday deal and will be filled.

Think last year, the cancellation emails came a week or so after the sale. Might take them a few days to sort through all the orders, and start cancelling them.

I had 2 different orders in for the 6px lights.

One order was for 1 light before I knew about the free shipping when buying 2, so I placed a second order for 2 lights.

Just checked and the charges for the 2 light order have dropped off my account but the order for the 1 light is still pending.

I feel the same way. The sidekicks no one (except 1 guy who wants a refund on free lights) actually thought they would ship. Sure I rolled the dice on those just in case, but I don't care and understand Surefire saying no to those but ...

I'll be a little pissed if the 6p's don't ship. I know it is their right for whatever reason to renig and not ship, but I'd still hold a grudge on those. Sure, it didn't cost me anything and I'm not out anything other than getting my hopes up, but I doubt I'd order anything from surefire again. Just my 2 cents. And, NO, I don't expect anything like a coupon, compensation etc. if they don't ship.

As another point of reference, I ordered two 6PXs and did not order any Sidekicks. Order placed on Monday is "processing." Debit card has shown the funds held since Monday.

IIRC, it took a few weeks to get my items ordered during their black Friday sale last year. Seemed about par for everyone else as well

I made two separate orders. One on Monday, and one on Tuesday morning. Both of them were pending. This morning I checked and the one from Monday "fell off" - I.e they gave me the money back. This was an order for just two of the 6PX flashlights WITHOUT the "ALLTHELUMENS" code. I would surmise that the one Tuesday will also end up cancelled if my one from Monday ended cancelled - considering it was 3 6PXs and 3 Sidekicks WITH the Code

I'm starting to wonder if Surefire is a company worth doing business with. It seems like this debacle occurs every year.

Hopefully they are just backed up. I've ordered from Xtreme several times and they are slow to ship. I'll get a pending charge, it will fall off and then a week later when it ships they'll charge again and this time it will clear

They can cancel the sidekicks but if they cancel the 6p's I'll go out of my way to not do business with them

I guarantee they are still making money at 26 bucks a piece price point

Even if they broke even it would be better to do so than to loose customers who might come back
