I will occasionally (once a week or so) drop by a local Starbucks on the way into the office. (I commute in my BDUs) The amount of times that I've not had to pay for my coffee and croissant because some other patron offered, nay, demanded to cover my cost is beginning to get to me. I can't say 'no', but I'm also beginning to feel bad about all the freebies. This has been going on for months.

A simple 'thank you' would suffice!

Goes to show, the Bay Area isn't beyond all hope.
