I have a bit of a issue with my wife. She works for our county in a position where people can sometimes dislike her. Someone she had a dealing with who was completely not right in the head during the whole process. The woman threatened her death so she was arrested and charged and also messed up her probation and was cuckoo enough to not be granted bail. She has a court date about a month from now. Question is this basically: How do i get my nervous wife to start taking her daily security alot more serious??? She cannot have a firearm at work so i gave her my ASP and a big ass can of Mace. Shes fairly good at watching her back so i ran her through the obvious shit like watching her 6 while walking driving, exiting and entering buildngs vehicles etc... What kind of stuff am i missing? PS: I will be jacking up our home security tonight with some motion lights and a couple super loud alarms on doors. |

I have no particular advice for you or your wife, but I do have some experience with this sort of thing - from the other side. Ex-MrsDzlBenzV2.0 had a sister go nuts (bi-polar, paranoid schizophrenia) and make a lot of threats to county officials, contractors, deputies, mental health workers and so forth. Some of the threats were very specific, I learned later, and included very specific and graphic details regarding the time, place and manner that she planned to carry out her threats. The thing was that since she was a known mental case, the authorities, including deputies she had threatened directly, really had no reasonable cause to apprehend her based solely on the threats. It was always the case that they couldn't go after her until she acted on any of the threats. The DA's position was that it's not against the law to be crazy. Apparently not. |
| Tell her every drive home from work to pull over at a random spot (with the doors locked) and watch for people following. She is about 10 times more likely to be followed home. Trust me, I used to work with criminals every day, and thats usually what they do to get somebody. Make sure she gets a handgun with training and CCW to carry the handgun in vehicle(i.e. glovebox)and from vehicle to the house. |
