I remember coming home and watching that movie after seeing a Halley's Comet exposition at the Franklin Science Museum.

I never understood one thing. The guy was in his truck, and the girls in a metal shed or whatever, anyway the metal protected them. Now the people in the underground bunker were affected because the fans for the outside air were left running. Or something of that nature. So what gives, either it was in the air and all should have been infected, or the bunker people should have been safe.

Damn I used to have the hots for both of them. I don't know why , but for some reason I was thinking that one of them was Lori Singer, also, very hot. I miss 80s big hair. lol
Also, Robert Beltran was the actor that played Hector, the guy in the truck. He also played Commander Chokotay in Star Trek Voyager. |

The "DWHGUUzis" line was one of the most pinnacle lines in movie history, Really.

If you were exposed, the comet killed you instantly. Afterwards the "dust" in the tail of the comet would turn you into a flesh eating monster or whatever...
Hector (think that was his name) and the 2 girls were "immune" to the dust part of it, hence the reason the scientists were draining people of their blood to make a "cure" Quoted:

LOL... I knew exactly what movie this was about from the thread title.
I swear, that was on rotation somewhere every day on cable TV when I was a kid growing up. And yeah, they aged well.
