Can anyone that knows about these things help with an issue I'm having?  I turn it on like it says to but it won't connect with my tablet.  The controller just beeps and the app just shows the how to connect screen.  What am I doing wrong?

Do you have all the cables plugged in correctly and are you running the latest software?

Is it over USB or Bluetooth?

If it is Bluetooth is Bluetooth enabled on the tablet?

What tablet are you running? Do you have the DJI Go App already installed?

Weird I tried it with my wife's iPhone 6s and it worked.  I need to upgrade the firmware but it connected.

I did all of that today with mine.

I hardwired my phone to the controller.  No problems

Make sure all firmware is updated--and that you updated the correct firmware for your model (the pro and advanced updates are different).

So I got the P3A to upgrade the firmware but the controller would not upgrade no matter what I tried.  I'm exchanging it for a new one and I got an iPad mini 4 instead of the Samsung tablet.

Hmm. Yes to firmware upgrade...and sometimes they take a while to do it. But I guess if you're already exchanging that'll take care of that.

The controller was telling me it aborted the upgrade because it had the current or older version of firmware already on it.  When I would open the dji go app the controller kept telling me to upgrade the Inspire controller firmware.  I don't even have the Inspire drone.

When you get the new TX make sure you bind it properly to your P3. Ipads run the smoothest with the DJI Go App you shouldn't have anymore problems once you get configured properly.

Sounds like you have the wrong version of firmware.  I tho the Pro uses the 1.8.8 but the advanced uses a slightly different version.

Did you try plugging your phone into the controller and updating it via the app?  That is the quickest way even though most instructions say to upload the firmware onto the cameras microsd card then using the card reader adapter to upload to the controller.

Hang with it. Once you get it fired up, it is a blast!

I didn't see an option to update it through the app

Just search in youtube and you will see how to update using the phone/tablet.

I'm bbqing right now so I can't give you a link.  I will check back later to see of you found out how to do it.

The replacement drone came and it works perfectly.  I'm using an iPad mini 4 and am very happy.

Nice shot, glad it worked out.

I wish I could fly right around my house....too close to airports though.
