uhm... if they don't have elected representatives then where does DC get its 3 electoral votes?
I mean, 3 is obviously based on 1 house rep and 2 senators right?  Well DC has neither.  Nor do the residents get to vote in the election anyways.

So who chooses the 3 electors from the District of Colombia? The city government?

The 23rd Amendment granted these to DC. The ElectoralVotes are awared to whomever wins the popular vote in DC. The residents DO vote for President in DC.

So essentially the 23rd Amendment granted the Democrats 3 automatic electorial votes?

It's a pity they're allowed to vote at all. These same idiots elected a crack smoking, inarticulate, lying mayor to multiple terms. They should have had their rights stripped from them for gross incompetence.

Interesting question. Anyone have stats on where the electoral votes from DC have gone since the amendment?
