Well here goes, a few years ago I moved from the Central Texas area to East Texas. When I moved I had TXU electric there and then back to TXU in east Texas. About 6 months after moving into my new place we notice our electric bill sky rockets. So we look into it and they are billing us for two meters. We start the conversation with them thinking they are billing us for our old house that it is just a mistake. When we get a hold of someone they forward us to someone else and then some one else and so on................ Well we finally get a hold of someone and find out they are billing us for another meter about two miles from where we live not the one from Central Texas. Well about 100 hours on the phone numerous pieces of mail and a lot of work they say it is fixed that the bill is gone.

Well all is well for about 6 months then one day our power goes out. We call to find out what is up and they cut it off due to a late bill. We talk to them and say we paid our bill and they bring up the old bill the one that wasn't ours. They eventually come and turn our power on the next day after all day on the phone. Then after numerous days of calling them we finally get it all worked out and they give us a credit for 1200 dollars in overpayment's. It appears we had paid for the electric for a few months for someone else. Needless to say I changed from TXU after we used the credit and have been happy since.

Fast forward to today, I get a notice that my credit score has changed, I log online to my credit monitoring page thinking it went up. Wham it has dropped 56 point due to a charge off, I bet you will never guess what it is. TXU charge off for 560 something dollars, my wife calls them about it and they say they will have to launch an investigation into it. They said that during the time when we had the problems before they switched their system over and lost some information. She did get it out of them that it had to do with the account we never had for the other meter. I went online and disputed the charge with one credit bureau, I guess I need to do it with the other two also.

This bring me to my last little bit of a rant, I am 32 years old pay my bills, keep a job do what is right, and belief in live and let live. However when is enough this has been an ongoing battle for close to 3 years the last two I have not heard a thing about it and no they go and F**** with my credit. What are my options, I do not care about the cost or the 560 dollars. I did not even get a single bill from them since I closed the account in 2007. Now they have crossed the line from just extremely annoying me to really pissing me off. I have never sued anyone or taken anyone to court, I think it is a horrible waste of time, money, resources and just down right petty. Not anymore is it possible for me to bring them to court, I do not mind spending 10 times more than the bill just to make them pay. Oh I can not stand this crap, rant off.

were it me, Monday morning I would be at the nearest TXU office at opening time, raising holy hell..and would not leave until I had a letterhead explaination and letter of apology for the whole issue to fax to the credit reporting agencies...

This - get first and last names, dates and times of every one you speak to.. people act differently when you start off a conversation with" I'm sorry, let me get your name down on my notes here, how do you spell it?" - that alone will cut your BS time in half.
