The Italian Polizia Stradale are the coolest traffic cops on the planet!
Look what they use……… yes! that's a Lamborghini!  Italy is a wonderful place to own a car… they ban small engined cars from their AutoStrada's (turnpikes) and they RAISED the speed limit on them to 93mph!!!!!!

Clarkson was saying that on one of his transcontinental runs in an Aston, the French police came up beside him. He was thinking they wanted to pull him over. They wanted him to go faster, to see what it could do.
Once, just once, I want a cop to do that for me. I think it also shows I can forget about trying to escape Italian police in a car chase. Wonder what sort of car the camera was in? BMW with a siren? NTM |
