I love the look of my copper nemesis clone, but I've only been using it for 2 weeks and the 510 is now stripped

Thinking about now, it makes sense that screwing a stainless steal RDA into a copper thread is a bad combo.  Is this normal?  Does brass have this same problem?  Anyone know where I can get a replacement top cap for my nemesis?

fatdaddys has the replacement 510 connectors on ebay.

It's gonna require drilling out the old one and a little fitting though.

Thanks guys.  I looked on ebay, but I don't think I was searching for the right thing.  I'll look for something.

If you arent good at soldering get 2 or 3 of the 510 connectors or buy one with wires already soldered on.

Well, thanks for the heads up.

Stainless 510 threading, or forget it.

the Nemesis doesnt use a standard 510 and it isnt a solder on or require any solder. you will need a new top cap.

Well I don't think wires are an option here with the mech mod.  I'm thinking that I'll have the drill out the top to fit in the new 510 threads and JB weld it in place or something without messing up the conductivity.  I guess if I do it right, it should just sit in the new hole snuggly and won't need to be attached in some way. The top battery pin screws into a delrin insulator so I shouldn't worry about any changes there.

ETA:  I may just have someone machine an insert that has new threads.  My old man is skilled is such things.

Send fatdaddy a email. He has what you need.

IIRC in his ebay ad for the 510 repair connectors, he even referenced stripping out threads in a Nemesis.

Here's what I got back from fatdaddyvapes when I asked about repair kits or replacement top caps

No I do not. The best way to do it is find someone who does machine work.
Have them melt some copper or even brass into the walls and tap it with an
M7X0.5 pitch tap.

I cannot get parts for it yet because it is too new...

Might just set it aside for now and wait until parts come available.

Hmmm...might have to give it a try.  I know of a local shop here in town that might actually carry something like this.  I'm just wondering about conductivity issues.

I have the top 510 part of an ego battery just sitting around if you want it. The VV circuit board is still attached but could be removed. It's yours if you want it.

it wont work on a Nemesis.

OP you need the entire top cap. not sure who has them but it would probably be cheaper to buy a new clone and for your stripped one order a hybred cap for it and run one of the hybred attys/gennys on it.

Already have a stainless steal clone on the way.

I'd really like to make this work though...if only to see if I can

I can find M7x1 inserts, but no M7x.5.  Anyone know if this will work?

Seriously?

304 stainless steel wire

No issues.
