What to do with a beef heart?

Sous Vide and sear on a grill?

Slice and fry?

Or grill up the old fashion way?

No idea, but I put about 20 chicken hearts on a skewer over the grill. Makes for very delicious food.

For venison heart, we slice them into stir-fry size pieces, sautee a bunch of onions in a pan with lots of butter, season with salt pepper and garlic powder and fry up with the onion.

Venison heart: slice thin, fast sear in melted butter in open pan with fresh sliced onion. Serve with toasted dark bread and a cold beer.

Is it deer season yet?!

Love that idea

I would have suggested beef broth but the cream of mushroom soup sounds good too. Potatoes and veggies are good to go.

For meats like this I usually don't add in the vegetables until well into the cooking cycle, to prevent them from being overcooked.
When you start to smell the meat cooking, time to add veggies.

Only time I eat heart is when I'm eating the rest of the bird it came from. Cook however you cooked the bird, salt, eat.
