Am I stupid to keep an Eotech 512 on my turtle buster 10/22?
I like the reticle, it's not a battle rifle, it still works....but I could easily roll those bucks toward another RDS or 2 from Primary Arms. Thoughts? Anyone else keeping theirs? |

I'm keeping my EXPS2. I prefer it much more than my aimpoint. I'm not a delta couch warrior so if my zero shifts a bit in sub zero cold weather, who cares, bc I probably won't be out at the range with it anyways.

Turtle buster, lol.
If you like it and it works, keep it. I still use aluminum mags with green followers and somehow have not burst into flames yet. |

There are dozens of optics at a 1/5 of the price that will perform that task. I'd trade in an optic in which the manufacturer admitted has a design flaw, and does not meet the specs in which they were sold and is offering a refund based on that, and buy a cheaper optic. I'd then spend the rest of the money on pizza. Cause I love pizza. |

I don't plan on keeping it in my deep freezer then going out on a 95'F humid day in FL to go shooting. The gun safe is 75'F right now, my car in the garage gets about 85'F at most. Finally at the range at 95'F under shade.

I bought mine from someone on the EE so I have no idea how to return it.

You're overpaying for what you're getting in my opinion. Buy something cheaper.

It was on my main gun. I moved it to my 15-22.
It makes the 15-22 3x more fun. I have the RMA approved but can't decide what to do. I like the FOV sooo much better than any red dot |

Not sure I'd ever notice, unless it was like 15moa. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I was going to keep mine however, I've decided to be a piking douche bag and return it every 10 years for a new replacement.
RD FSA |

Some kept their Ford Pinto too.
A guy here drove one around with a target painted on the back. |
|
Keeping both of mine too. Can't beat that reticle and sight picture, IMO. This H1 I have sucks so bad I put it on an AK.

When they are giving full refunds you can buy 2-3 knockoffs that can shift zero and leak just as well.
|
|
I'd send it back for a refund and then use the money to buy a new one after they solve the problem. Buy a PA RDS to use till then if you don't have anything else.

I kept my three. I like way the holographic reticle makes my ARs seem all futuristic.
|
|
I'm keeping my 517.
It has worked fine since the day I bought it almost ten years ago, I see no reason to get rid of it. |

Quoted: Why keep an optic that the manufacturer has said WILL fail? View Quote I guess because in the ten years I've owned mine it has performed just fine for me. I don't operate in freezing conditions nor do I operate in temperatures over 90 - I guess I'm not a "tier one" operator. In ten years I've never had a battery fail me, nor has my ability to hit what I'm aiming at been affected. I like the sight so I'm keeping it. If it ever does fail I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. |
|
Probably going to keep mine, because it's just a casual range toy, and I'm not a Delta operator or a SEAL.

512 is a huge optic for a 10/22. I would send it back and use the $ for something smaller.

I recently pondered buying a used EO so I could try to refund it for full retail.
