I am using a wired connection right now on my desktop.  I plan on moving this tank into another room and want to connect it wireless like everything else in my house.  I haven't the slightest idea what to get to do this.  The desktop will be approx 2 rooms away and about 30-40 feet.  Any recommendations?  Cost isn't an issue(nothing too extreme).  I just want something that will connect well.

IF you are using a wireless router,  i would suggest buying a wireless network card as mentioned above,  install it in the pc you want to be wireless.

It will allow you to get online,  view webpages check email etc.

If you don't have a wireless router that will need to be your first purchase unless you want to run cat 5 cables through your house.

Mine current one is only a 300. I am more buying it because there is room to expand and from the reviews it looks like it gets a decent signal.

I'm using this

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00416Q5KI

I'm getting 300 mbps connection speeds wtih the router upstairs and the adapter downstairs on the other side of the house.

I had horrible problems with the internal Linksys wireless card, my parents had the same problems as well.  Constant no connections failure to recognize the router etc. and I'm not even going to discuss connection speeds.  Replacing it was some of the best $20 I ever spent for a  PC part.

You can use one of these to connect any "wired" device to your existing WiFi network.  Can be powered by usb but also comes with an AC adapter.
