just reported on Fox....awesome Rice will kick some a$$ |
I know this to be the case first hand. I make small talk with an Egyptian candy store owner every day when I get the paper in the morning. When this guy refers to Dr Rice during our political talks he calls her "Doctor Candy" in a sarcastic voice because it just kills him to think of a female in such an important position. Personally I think she's great. She gets my vote for Prez or VP in 08 if she goes for it! |

They should have got Zell Miller "I don't much care what France thinks... they're just a buncha wine drinkin', crossandwich eatin' buncha pansies that make love with their mouth and ain't never seen no bath water ... the only beret worth wearin' is a green beret and they'd all be doin' the Sieg Heil shuffle if it weren't for our brave boys over there in Dubya Dubya Two. And Jock Chir-rack? I'd like to git that greased-up toe-licking mama's boy out behind a woodshed and slap him stem-whinin'. Problem is, he'd run like his feet was on fire and his ass was catchin', jes like all them damn frogs." "Press conference over; my cow died last night so I don't need your bull, and I'm busier than a cat covering crap on a marble floor. Now git!" indcjournal.com/ |

This will put her in the public eye which will mean we can learn what her politics truly are. I don't know much about her. I do like the fact that the representative of the United States to other countries is a black woman. Lets see what the Europeans say to that. They get their rocks off calling us racist, but when I lived in Europe, they were the most racist fuckers going. |
Just one question in this Condi party ... Who was the Directer of the NSA when 9-11 occurred ??? Who did Pres. Bush receive faulty Intel info from ??? She should have been fired then... |
You blame her for "allowing" the Sept. 11, 2001 attack?? Amazing.
|
Do you purposefully try to misrepresent things, or is it just a by product of general ignorance? |
Not me beekeep the 9-11 commission www.9-11commission.gov/report/911Report_Ch8.htm On March 23, in connection with discussions about possibly reopening Pennsylvania Avenue in front of the White House, Clarke warned National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice that domestic or foreign terrorists might use a truck bomb-their "weapon of choice"-on Pennsylvania Avenue. That would result, he said, in the destruction of the West Wing and parts of the residence.5 He also told her that he thought there were terrorist cells within the United States, including al Qaeda. The next week, Rice was briefed on the activities of Abu Zubaydah and on CIA efforts to locate him. As pointed out in chapter 6,Abu Zubaydah had been a major figure in the millennium plots. Over the next few weeks, the CIA repeatedly issued warnings-including calls from DCI Tenet to Clarke-that Abu Zubaydah was planning an operation in the near future. |
"Planning an operation in the near future" is not much to go on. Tell ya what--tell me exactly what she should have done. Please be very specific. What should she have done to head off the Sept. 11 attacks? |
You can't--yet you are willing to jump on the negative bandwagon. Remember, as has been repeated many times by those in responsible positions-- "We have to be right EVERY time, while they (terrorists) only have to be right ONCE." Frightening and disconcerting to ponder, but there is no way anyone can make us completely safe from all attacks. Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.

I don't have anything at all against Dr. Rice, but it would seem to me that the qualifications for National Security Director and Secretary of State would not necessarily be the same. I would think that as NSD you'd need to be familiar with our intelligence gathering and processing techniques while as Sec State, you'd be more the diplomat and better at negotiating with people, etc. Just my $.02 |
