My brother in law is looking for a free DVD decoder/viewer for his computer.  I reminded him that Windows comes with Media Player.  I don't know what else is out there, anyy suggestions?

Thanks. Being the guy he is, I think he is looking for freeware though.  Still don't understand why he doesn't use Windows Media Player.

Does he want to watch a DVD thats in his DVD-ROM drive?  If so, WMP wont do that.

One option I can think of is using a program called dvddecrypter, and copy the dvd to his hard drive.  That removes the encryption, allowing it to be played with WMP.
