| Usually the holes for the ports are part of a removable plate, which can be transferred to another case. I would imagine the biggest hassle would be figuring out the front panel connections, like power button, leds, etc, and matching that up to the new cases wiring. |

The wires are usually labeled on the connectors from the case and the MB usually has labels as well. Shouldn't be too difficult to figure out. |

It will be a blessing. |

On custom built computers the connectors from the case and many of the motherboards are labeled, but on prebuilt PCs they are almost never labeled on the cable or the board unfortunately. There's probably only 6 wires total, 2 for power button, 2 for power led, and 2 for hard drive led, so if you trace them back to the front of the case, you can at least figure out which wires are the pairs. The leds polarity does matter, but you can just try it and if it doesn't work, reverse it. Power button should work either way. |
