What do you think... 10 Year MINUMUM MANDATORY sentence in jail and $1,000.00 fine awarded to each person affected by the virus... I think that would slow those F***ers down! |
You're right. Keep the punishment in the civil realm. Just have the writers pay back every dime of added costs their little programing feat costs the US economy. Until they pay back everything they owe they are barred from using any electronic devices. |
Damn! Don't you think that a little extreme. If they were barred from using any electronic device, I guess they would be fucked if they needed a pacemaker. How about just no user programmable computers. Vulcan94 |
No. You guys are watering it down ... YOU ARE THINKING LIKE LIBERALS AND FEELING SORRY FOR THE CRIMINAL!!! 10 YEARS!!!! Now stop watering it down or I'll make it 20 YEARS!!!

I would hate for anyone to lose their job! You have helped me with things in the past and I am grateful to have had the help! ![]() BigDozer66 |

Most computer viruses are easily avoided. The only ones that are truly a problem are the worms that infect computers without any help from the user. And even these can be blocked with a simple firewall. Just don’t open executable attachments until you are completely convinced its legit. Spyware is worse. |
We are in the information age and these SOBs want to bring down our information infrascructure. I have little sympathy, regardless of their motivations. They are a drag chute on our economy when there isn't a huge outbreak and a disaster when something gets out of control. Symantec alone grossed $2.6B last year. If any other small group of people was costing business that much money they would be out of the picture PDQ, but instead it's just considered the cost of doing business. |
trojan gui.exe virus scan picked up 3 "pieces" (?) could only isolate 1.... trying the scan in safe mode now....and so far its not finding anything UGH |
Glad i was able to help. I try to monitor the urban commando's as much as possible |
its nearly impossible to get rid of virus's on a system with your current antivirus. The most effective way is to take the Hardrive out, put it in a computer with uptodate antirus. I use panda 2005 with tru prevent Technology. and do a full sytem scan. then once all that is disenfected or deleted. install ewido. or a squared antitrojan. boot into safe mode with networking support update and do another full system scan |
there may be more truth to that than we would like to know, It's one of the oldest tricks in the book, create a problem so you can sell a solution. |

In the grand scheme of things these small time virus makers are actually good for us. They tighten up security measures every time they put out a new virus or find a new hole in computer operating systems to attack. It’s kind of like an immunization shot every time they create something new. If it did not happen somebody could come along and shut our whole country down with one super virus attack. |
welp thats over my head... if this doesnt work... guess I will hit compusa |
install ewido make sure you run the update a couple times untill its done and then do a full sytem scan. the best way to update and scan is safe WITH network support xblock scroll down and click download. |
I have ewido on the main computer but not on this lap top....(crap cleaner and 3 spyware scans on it tho)... when it is finished with the most recent scan I will give getting the ewido a shot.... |
Classic Mac OS (7/8/9) had a few dozen viruses floating around, there are none known in the wild for 10. Something about actually needing a custom root password for any new programs to be introduced in OS10. There’s about 17,234,968 known viruses for Windows XP. Released daily. In somewhat related news today, Trek announced training wheels for Lance Armstrong, Snapple announced a new iced tea for goldfish, and Caswell-Massey announced a beautiful mock tortoise hair comb for Steve Ballmer. |
Ya ya.. I have to deal with f'ed up machines every day. Am I angry at the h/v/t/s community? NO.. I'm more angry at user that DO NOT THINK about there actions. Every action right or wrong has a consequence. Would you hit on the crack ho with out wrapping the rascal? Heck no.. The same should be said about computers.. Wrap that rascal! And think before you click! |
it was actually an IM from a known friend...who frequently sends NON porno pic....no reason not to click on the link. |
So how did you know it was him and not a doppleganger! There out ther man! just waiting.. Must of been AIM? |
yes aim ah well i think we might have it cleaned up |
AIM is very nasty about transporting viri! Let me dig around in my notes, I think I have a AV package that dovetails into AIM.. Might be a day or too. |
