I have other people on my home network (friends). How can I make it so they can not see my C Drive and my files?

dedicated firewall between you and them  right click your c drive icon in my computer, go to porperties, sharing, and look at what it says.

how is your LAN set up? (what hardware are you using?)

Look at the screenshot you posted.  Windows is telling you already that remote access to the computer has been disabled.

Have other people on your home network poked around your PC and told you that they can see your files?

No they have not. I want to make sure before they start to pokeing around. Thank you all for your help.
