Aww come on...........somebody has to know what the HELL is going on with this dang thing ??? No, no one HAS to know. We're not there, we don't know how your box is configured, what spyware it may or may not have, how your house network is setup, how fucked up the OS build is, etc. If you can't figure it out, get a knowledgeable IT consultant (and no, those worseless shit for brain can't cunts from goob squad do NOT count) to take care of it. |

Facebook was having problems with their logon servers earlier this evening. Perhaps that's part of the problem.
Your dikfer probably needs lubricating. Seriously though, "it doesn't work" is not a good description of any problem, so, not really sure how you think this might get solved with a few forum posts. Reboot the computers, that's the first step. |

Man....you're a lot of help........... ![]() Your post is the equivalent of "My car is making a noise! What's wrong with it?" Computers - like cars - are such common items it constantly surprises me just how little effort people are willing to put into understanding their workings and operation. Every day in GD someone posts "My PC has a virus! What free program that requires absolutely no knowledge or skill can I download for free to get rid of the virus that's free? Did I mention that it has to be free and requires nothing more from me than just being able to click a mouse button? But it must work perfectly!! And it has to be free because even though someone spent tens or hundreds of hours of their time creating software that takes absolutely no thought to use but instantly cures whichever of the hundreds of thousands of different strains of malware I might have as if by magic, I don't feel I should have to pay for it." Most of the time all it takes is killing a process and deleting some files to rid a PC of some malicious code, but the overwhelming majority of PC users can't be bothered to learn how to use Task Manager, Windows Explorer, msconfig, or Safe Mode. Yet they expect someone on the internet to supply them with just the right Magic Bullet that will eliminate all their infections (that they actually installed themselves out of pure stupidity) with nothing more technical than a single mouse click. For free. And now you know why I sit back and get a really good laugh at all these people who constantly have computer problems. Except for the ones I see in person. In that case I happily boot off of a Knoppix or WinPE CD and delete a few .EXEs or .DLLs to stop the infection from loading again at the rate of a couple hundred dollar$ for 10 minutes of work. And you know what? It's your own damn fault! Considering just how big a part of your life is tied up in your PC, if you're not willing to take a Beginning PC night class at the Learning Annex so you know at least a little of what goes on inside that mysterious box, then you deserve absolutely everything you get. |
