Trying to install a wireless router on my parents computer (Dad wanted Netflix) and during install it asked me whether the connection is Dynamic IP or Static IP? No idea.
He is on Time Warner cable/internet. Wireless router is a TP-Link TL-WDR3500 |

If he was using static IP addresses you would already know it. Bingo... and he'd be paying extra for it too (usually another $5-10/month). The only people who request static IPs are people running servers, or other network resources that they want to access remotely, and they don't want to futz around with DynDNS or similar services. If you don't know, you have a dynamic IP. |

TWC is dynamic You can get a static IP setup from pretty much any ISP if you wish. Sure you can, but by default it's going to be dynamic 99% of the time unless you called and specifically asked for a Static and paid the extra money. |
