For the past couple of days I cannot open the arfcom site from my home computer. I get a 404 error. I can get to the site from work with no problem, and can get to other websites at home. What gives?

I have tried disableing my Norton Internet Security and Antivirus, rebooting...

What can I do to fix this (besides staying at work)?

have you tried clearing your history folder and cookies?

Sounds like you have a DNS problem

I tried this with no effect. Is there any thing else I can try?

Yes, and both were negative. I can surf other websites, just not this one.

what browser? IE?

try downloading and installing mozilla firefox (mozilla.com), if it still doesn't work, try reinstalling IE.

I use IE, but I will try downloading FireFox tonight.

Have you tried to ping arfcom ?

That would rule out a DNS server issue on your ISP's side, or any backbone servers along the way.

There was a thread yesterday I think, about several members having the same problem, if I'm not mistaken.   It's quite possible a server somewhere is funked up and not your computer's fault.

ETA:  Also, you can type this : http://69.95.2.67  into the browser, and you should get brought to weaponforums.com (arf alternate domain name)  If that works, you're getting through.

You can use the other Arfcom domain names as well.  jobrelatedstuff.com banedsr.com and there's a couple more I can't think of right now.
