| I was wondering if there are any members who are computer gamers. If so I ran across a game called CombatArms. Has anyone played this if so how is it. Looks pretty well done for a free online game just wanted to get some thoughts on it before I download it. tia |

It was overrun with cheaters during the summer...
I played for a month or two. There were two updates to the code in that time... but the "hacker shield" they used, was apparently worthless. The whole concept of needing to earn money/points by playing, in order to rent/unlock better weapons for a day or by the week, kinda sucked dick. Theres a lot of 12 years olds who game all day and all night running around with all the perks, flash bangs, poison gas, choice of firearms, armor, camo, helmets, gas masks, etc... and the occasional couple times a week player can't even get a fuckin' gernade.

Looks like someone tool Warrock, then made it worse, and less funny. Free games like that tend to be overrun with cheaters as well. YMMV. QFT If you want to play online games like an MMO, and actually have an enjoyable experience, it pays to pay for the game. World of Warcraft or WAR Online, while nothing like those, are great MMORPGs, and paying for the service just ensures less cheaters or douchebags. |
| Used to play Combat Arms and Warrock all the time but then I switched to Linux and never got around to trying to figure out how to play them with wine. I didn't really care to try because I was annoyed with the game lag that started after on of their patches that never got addressed. The cheating was also annoying. |
