I will never again use anything other than Ubiquiti. Will I need to call nerds to set it up? Without knowing your skill level, it's possible. They're not plug-and-play, but the software is very easy to use and the documentation is pretty good. |

Yes, you can use as many as you need, and with that kind of space it will be more than one. Quoted:

I love how people insult those they are looking for advise from. Its like saying " hey sluts, tell me why i cant get a date".
I bet if you came across a little less like a inbred hillbilly you could probably score some free help from someone in the field who could help get ya set up... Who knows, stranger shit has happened on this forum. |

Ubiquiti stuff is supposed to be pretty good, but their transfer speeds still aren't as fast as a consumer-level Apple Airport Extreme.
Article here. Ironically titled "Review: Ubiquiti UniFi made me realize how terrible consumer Wi-Fi gear is"....and then all their tests show the Airport Extreme is faster.

Another vote for Unifi.
Yesterday I put a single Unifi AP-Pro in a 150,000 SQFT warehouse. I walked the perimeter of the entire warehouse and still had a respectable db level on my survey app. To be fair, its brand new construction and I just needed to establish temporary access so they could start scanning product into SAP when they move inventory in next week. So there is no obstructions in the warehouse, absolutely zero other signals in the 2.4 or 5GHZ range.....just wide open space. Ultimately, there will be 15 AP-Pros in there. I use them almost everywhere now. They even operate in a very hot environment where I had issues with Cisco 1242 AGs overheating. I've only had one go bad. I think something cooked in it. It got really hot and made an audible sounds when it's turned on. And that was in an office environment after about 8 months of use. Ubiquiti sent me a new one no questions asked. My only complaint with them is I wish they would add scheduled rolling reboots into the controller software. I would like to have that as an option for maintenance purposes. |

I put in a new Linksys WRT1900AC and about a week later got a Linksys N600 Enterprise extender (retails for around $100, got it for $60). Plugged it into the wall in the shop, hit the wifi protected setup, and launched the linksys app on my phone, authorized it, done. Took longer to open the packaging than it did to set it up.
Now I have pretty good wifi in the shop where I had none before. |
