I just got a new ASUS laptop w/ the i3, its great so far, but my date time keeps changing. I updated it yesterday, and corrected it. I look down just now, and it says 11/27/09 and 5:14 PM. WTF!?! Why is it doing this???

You have the wrong time zone selected in the clock configuration. Double click on the clock and click on the time zone tab at the top and see what it says.

Time zones will make the clock reset?

Or is the battery back-up for the clock not working?

I don't understand.

It is 11/27/09 and 5:14PM.

What's the problem?

Your using windows 7, right? Your BIOS clock is incorrect, change it to the current time.

I believe it is F2 on ASUS boards.

If the time zone is set incorrectly and it's set to automatically sync system time to an online time server, it's gonna reset every time it syncs.

Time servers report in GMT, then the computer has to figure out the offset through user settings.
