I guess the Sheriff of Los Angeles is taking some heat 'cause 10 of his deputies emptied their guns into an SUV being used as a weapon.  Of course the AP story says that the guy was "unarmed".  And the community is up in arms over this "abuse".

Anyway, that's the same ol' story, but I was wondering if anyone has seen the video?

When I first saw this on TV I was a little shocked. I wasnt shocked about them shooting up the subject. I was shocked at the officers not even paying attention to there fields of fire and shooting straight at each other. The first thing I said is look at these idiots shooting right at eachother , someone is lucky they didnt get shot. Then the news cast said one officer was shot from friendly fire.

I can tell a lot of you guys have never fired your gun on duty.  You might maintain your trigger control, but sight alignment goes right out the freakin' window.  I think the average hit rate for rounds fired by officers in the line of duty is around 30 percent.  When stress is such a big factor, your fine motor skills become...less fine.

Shooting a 100 at a man sized target that doesn't move, shoot back, and stands straight up and without cover is another story from real life applications.

Hmmmm, I keep being told that a vehicle is a deadly weapon.
If it's a deadly weapon for the cops, then it's a deadly weapon for the suspects too.

i was surprised at the fields of fire too, very bad.

allegedly there was over 100 rounds fired, but thats prolly media BS. and many of the rounds missed or went through the vehicle and into the neighborhood.

the guy survived by ducking down behind the dash, so most of the shots were above him.

of course jesse jerkoff jaxson was on scene stirring the shit and complaining about the shooting calling it a "HATE CRIME".

I dunno...  Ten officers all emptying their weapon at a suspect attacking them with a deadly weapon?  A hundred rounds doesn't sound too off-base...

Actually, I heard him call it an "ACT OF TERROR".
