Doing the 5x5 strong lifts programs.
Started light to work on form and now the lifts are getting heavier.
Should I wrap knees and elbows or should the muscle/ligaments/tendons be
allowed to do there jobs without wraps?

I've never wrapped elbows.
I will usually warmup with nothing. When doing working sets I will wear knee sleeves. If going for a PR squat I will wrap at ~90% and the PR attempt.

I have some Rehband knee sleeves. They keep my knees warm and give some support. I like them.
