My computer mouse is going ape-shit, highlighting text automatically...I don't know who or how this was engaged but i need it to stop..anyone know any cntrl+ commands or anything to shut this down?

It may be wearing out. Think how long you have had it, and how much you use it. Try borrowing someone elses and see if that fixes the problem
