All good things come to Texas... it's just too bad Miss Magnum won't be the next!

Good luck on the job, MM!

Remember, you're always welcome in Texas if you want to come to heaven. [;)]

I am ESTATIC about this job.  I hadn't decided that I definately wanted to move back closer to family until about a month ago.  It was weird how everything has fallen into place... the job matches perfectly with my experience and the job site is 5.23 miles from my momma's house... right behind where I used to work when I lived there!

Haven't finalized salary but let's just say that it sounds like I'll be VERY happy.  And that's just the base hourly wage.. doesn't include the overtime, differential, call-out and on-call pay.  Benefits are great... and, the big kicker, they're going to bridge my service... I walk in with over 4 years seniority.  Dang.

Oh, and I sold my truck this morning... another thing that just fell into place!

EDITED TO SAY: Thank you, God!!  [:D]

On another side note, Waverunner breathes a sigh of relief - you being further away lessens the possibility of your kicking his azz again![:D]

Congratulations!

Now you get to RELO!

I've done it twice.

They say the three most stressful things you can go through are

1. Losing a job
2. Divorce
3. Moving!

Moving is number 3, and I believe it.

Hope they gave you a decent relo package and take care of the animals!

My advice is to have a couple of folding chairs and about 5 boxcutters and an icechest of water and beer when the movers arrive with your stuff.

You can never have to many boxcutters when you start unpacking!!!! trust me!!! buy five of em!
Folding chairs cause there won't be any place to sit except the floor or counters.....
Good Luck in the Blue Grass state!

What part of Kentucky will you be moving to?  Western, eastern, Louisville, Lexington.  I'm an exiled Kentuckian(Owensboro) who would also like to get back home to the Bluegrass State.  Congratulations.  Right after I leave they pass CCW laws and I found out that Missouri is ran by the liberals in St Louis and Kansas City.  Enjoy the move back.

Congrats, Miss Magnum.

Sure glad the chips are falling in your favor.  Keep the dice rolling.

The only thing I know about Kentucky is that they make pretty good chicken.   [BD]

Congrats Sarah!!  You can start breathing again!

Maybe you can come to Ohio and shoot with us a little more often!  If I were 20 yrs younger.....

You will not regret moving back to your home area.  Being close to family is well worth the hassle of changing jobs and moving.

I guess I shoudn't have moved from KY last year.

Check-out Shooter's Supply in Louisville, great selection, friendly people, and lots of evil rifles.  They are located on Vinecrest Road in St. Mathews/Louisville.

LT,

Regarding the men in Kentucky.. funny thing.  I started talking to a guy there a month ago.  We saw each other both days I was in Louisville for my interview.  So far, so good....

And that should answer the other question asked.. I'm moving to Louisville.

Lumpy,

The COOLEST thing is that my new boss is a hunter and two of my co-workers are avid shooters... we ended up talking RKBA towards the end of my interview.  [:D]

Now I have the next two days off to pack up everything in my house and the barn.  [whacko]

Congratulations on the job MM.  It is always very nice to be near your family.

Hope the move goes okay with all your critters and such.  One word of advice, stay away from U-haul.  Multiple bad experiences.  Is your company paying for your move?  That would take a lot of stress of your part.

Anyway, congrats again, and good luck with the new location.[<]:)]
