One of those bands I keep coming back to. Saw them once in 2003 and again a few years later. They are still a pretty decent band.

they are fucking terrible.  everything about coldplay sucks.

anyone who like coldplay is admitting to having zero taste in music.  You probably like nickelback too.

Their music is ok, but seems to have a wimpy, soothing lullaby quality infused into it that kind of turns me off.

Nope there is a big difference between tolerable and fucking awful.

There are some good Coldplay songs it's just a matter if you can stand whiny voice singers.

They plagiarized their big hit from Van Zandt or somebody. You can Google it. They stole the music note for note.

Considering they've had quite a few hits, it's unlikely they would go out of their way or even need to lift someone else's song note for note. Far more likely is that there's only so many progressions you can do in popular rock and they repeat often across the millions of musicians trying to be original.

I know this happens because a song I wrote is a mirror image of a Dramarama song...and people told me about it long after I wrote it, having never heard the Dramarama song.

My band used to do a medley of 8 songs that were popular in the 90's that all had the identical same chord progression and song structure, from wildly differing bands. It's not always plaigarism...in fact it seldom is.
