I need to pick up a code reader for my truck. I'd prefer around the $50 range but if I have to pay more that's fine. Some of them look like they hook up to a computer, I can't use that as my computer is a POS.
Which ones are you guys using? |
| For something quick just to check and clear codes, I use a Matco MC100 (which apparently they don't make or sell anymore, at least it's not listed in their online catalog. The MC200 they list is very similar to mine). |

For a cheap -but good- scanner that reads/clears OBDII codes, and also gives you freeze frame data and readiness tests...Check out the LAUNCH Code Reader IV.
