I'm sure you all have seen the meme with the old dude holding a Street Sweeper and a M11.
Well, I wanted to do that too, because it looks cool and fun. So off I went to search for the linkage. It would take me a couple of years to find someone and I just happened to find that someone on arfcom. Years ago, that member bought all of the linkages and the rights to the picture from that old dude's estate sale. So, with the linkage and firearms in hand, I had to do a little "customization" since the linkage was for the longer and shorter M11. Right now, it's a work in progress (ie prototype) and I can go into it more if someone really wants me to. I will rebuild the rear part to make it stronger and easier to attach. However, this project is only for fun. The loaded suppressed M10 is not light and it puts a lot of weight on the Street Sweeper's aluminum barrel. And don't forget about recoil! Below are some pics and videos. I hope you enjoy them! Also, I need to do a quick shout out to Cody from Weapon Genetics! He helped fix my SS! He will see more work from me in the future. Cody told me he is working on an Street Sweeper/M10 adapter. Oh and he cerakoted a cup with the Cobray logo! It's super cool! TL/DR: OP loves Cobray guns and loves shooting them no matter how much Gun Jesus hates the Street Sweepers and Cobray. And if you haven't guessed it, I love Cobray and their cheap and crazy guns. That's so bad it's good OP. Did I read that correctly OP, "aluminum barrel?" Must have been satisfying to finally get that linkage after the long search!
|
|

Nice job OP So these are the legit linkage parts used in that meme picture? Is that what Im understanding? |

Quoted: Yes, he bought all the linkages from the old dude's estate. he has like maybe 40 or something left. he sold a bunch several years ago to a dealer somewhere. so they are out there. i didn't tag the arfcom user, but i did send him a message. if he wants to claim ownership, i'll let him jump in. I think they’d be cool to have a set, for that you just ever know........

Are the Street Sweeper and USAS12 still regulated as Destructive Devices?
Really pissed me off when ATF did that. Even more stupid, now, in light of all the semi auto AK style 12 gauges available. |

If I remember correct the Sweeper only held 11rds
* I have a Mac (just cause) I like my roller lock, a mini Mac with a blower on it would have been nice back in the day. |

Man, I have a M10 and have been eyeing a SS lately. If the owner of the linkages wants to sell any I might be down for a set!

I could probably find a scope mount to fit the barrel of the SS and hang my Lage upper from it.

We gotta take that along next time we go coyote hunting. View Quote PS - i hope to take it out and use my NV with it. can you imagine a laser duct taped to the SS barrel and firing STREAK ammo from the MAC? yes. i can imagine that. it will be a reality someday. |

LoL, I joked around in another thread this morning that I was masturbating feverishly.
In this thread, my jorts are around my ankles, I’ve got my shirt pulled up over my head and I’m oiled up like a Greek god and I’m beating my dick like it owes me money. Carry on OP, you marvelous bastard! |

I think I would rather have a M-4 with a grenade launcher. Probably sweeps the street better.

I shot some type of rotary drum shotgun in 1992 that was described to me at the time as a "Street Sweeper". I seem to remember the drum rotating on to the next shell on trigger reset. That sounds like the first-gen clock-wind SS, no?
