I read plenty of stories about bosses/co-workers who really suck.

Just want to share a good story about one of my co-workers.

I work for a high tech vendor as a Systems Engineer and support the sales staff as technical marketing and design support for end customer sales.

Most (not all) of the salesguys I have supported in my career have gone the extra mile during holidays, end of fiscal year and birthdays in showing their appreciation for my support.  Usually, the sign is a few C notes in an envelope, a nice bottle of wine, dinner for the girlfriend and myself on their dime, etc.

Just recently, my job role became more specialized and will no longer support the salesguy I have been working with for the last 2+ yrs.  We have had our "professional" disagreements and our styles differ, but no matter, we worked well together and closed some great deals.

Today, prior to a conference call we had with a few customers during the transition to another engineer, he brought up the Christmas bonus he usually passes on.  He wanted to do someting different, due to the change in my role.

"So, I am sure a few bucks will be nice, but I want to do something to really show my appreciation.  Where do you buy your ammo from?"

I was really shocked, as I have never been offered a gift of ammunition before.  I told him, "ammoman.com".  His reply, "Cool, I hope you enjoy it.  Merry Christmas."

I work with some cool-ass people!
