have you (staff) thought about taking Arfcom to cloud computing? Its possible that overall service would be cheaper and faster and no hardware to buy or worry about.

Scaling bandwidth, hardware and electricity as you use it. So you arent paying for more than you need. Its like a water bill or a utility. Reliable too, Nasdaq is using it for their databases. Facebook is 100% in the cloud as well as USA.gov....

Arfcom could migrate all servers, bandwidth and everything...and have unlimited CPU. And possibly cheaper, I say possibly because I dont know what kind of bill you have now.

If you have any questions IM me, as I have been researching cloud computing in general.  I dont get paid to talk about this, hell i'm unemployed  I just thought you guys might be interested in the cloud and saving on bills as you grow.

Many of the cloud computing firms do not offer a SLA, or if they do, its not a very good one. That is probably the biggest concern I would see for switching. Afterall, we all know what happens when this site goes down even for a brief moment.

MSFT Azure will  have tired SLA released soon, so you can pay what you want.

AMAZON EC2 has a 99.95% uptime guarantee.

But ultimately, one would have to find the best cloud fit for arfcom then evaluate the SLA's, because there are many styles "clouds" to choose from now.
