Do they break down ?

If so how long before the painted portion is all gone ?

Reason I'm asking is I want to start shooting them on my property and I just don't want a huge mess  if they never break down .

First the paint fades, then your mower crushes and chips them as it passes over, then it rains and they get soft. Next thing you know they are gone. Would worry more about wads than clays.

PS...Mine turn to dust before they hit the ground , so it's never been a problem....

Good one I don't think I will have THAT problem / dusted clays
They will all land on a steep hillside no mower will ever get there
