Do you wear yours? What metal is yours made out of? What is the highest level of education you have received / degree? What university did you attend?

What metal is yours made out of?  I don't remember.
What is the highest level of education you have received / degree? MA
What university did you attend? Why???

I wear my wedding band most of the time. I don't wear any other rings.

High school ring was a waste of money.  It is now relegated to an extremely infrequent costume use.

Didn't even bother with a college ring.

To answer your questions:
I don't wear it.
It's made of some durable silver lookalike with a synthetic green stone.

I have a high school one in 14K gold. My mom has it somewhere because I gave it to my GF in highschool and she
got pissed. I never considered getting one for college.

The only (non-dufus) people that I know to wear education-related rings are some friends who are professional engineers. They wear engineer rings, not school or class rings.

See above?  I learned that here at Arfcom.

BTW, never bought a class ring. I don't wear jewelry and don't like wasting what little money I have on them.  Even when I was young, the electric bill, phone bill and other bills came first.

As for education, doctorate and I recently earned an AS .

I'm not a ring person, never have been. Don't even wear my wedding band. I can barely stand wearing a writstwatch.

Way back in high school (late 80s) I didn't want a class ring, I thought they were the epitome of douche. My dad said I had to have one and bought it for me. I never wore it, never even took it out of the box. I think he had it as I never saw it again past high school graduation.

Marine Corps Shooting Team ring.

10ct gold.

As a side note it is a great bottle opener as well.

The only person I've seen wearing one regularly was made fun of so bad he quit doing it.

I think it's a sign that someone's reality didn't live up to their high school dreams.

have my highschool ring as well as my Parris Island ring. Don't wear either of them. Highschool ring does have a rebel flag on it though I thought that was pretty cool

Have one from High School, never wore it. Did not get one from college, dont care. Most of the people I met who wear their college rings always have the really big ugly ones and are usually Douchebags.YMMV

West Point was the originator of class rings.
I would give some leeway to academy grads wearing theirs just due to the depth of the tradition.

The only ring I wear is my wedding ring.

I got a 14k class ring in high school.  Only use was to let my girlfriend wear it.  After she graduated high school herself it went into a drawer and was never worn again.

I've got bachelor and master degrees from different universities but never bothered with a class ring from either one.  Seemed like a waste of money.

Only adult I've ever known that wore a college ring was a pompous asshole assistant superintendent I worked with for a while.  He had serious authority issues and went out of his way to make himself feel superior to others.  He was a big blowhard and his ring was a part of his costume.

The only ring other than an wedding band that doesn't seem garish on a man is a masonic ring.  No idea why but for some reason that seems appropriate.

Used to wear it all the time & received more compliments on it than I thought I would.  Now I've gotten into the habit of just wearing watch/rings when I dress up.
Gold.  12 or 14 carat I think.
Got it when I finished my masters & thought that was the last degree I'd get.

Sometimes a ring looks nice. Besides my wedding band I'll occasionally wear a pinky ring if it goes with the chain I'm wearing

Whenever I see someone wearing a class ring, 99% of the time they went to Texas A&M.

How do you know someone went to A&M? Don't worry, they'll tell you.

I didn't go to college. For some reason, my mother really wanted me to get a high school ring, I didn't want one. Got one to make her happy. God knows where it is. I do know is wasn't made out of any precious metal.

The only ring I wore was a wedding band but took it off several months ago due to eczema on my hands; it's really bad on my left hand. I can no longer wear rings.

Mine was stolen from my apartment in The Crossings by the cable installer a few days after installing the cable wiring for management. Sometime in the late 1970s, do not remember exactly.
