Most of it will burn up in the atmosphere.

A few larger solid metal pieces may hit the earth.
Docking collars, major structural metal are common.
Sometimes a smaller stainless fuel tank is light enough and has enough surface area to not be burned up completely.

Good thing most of the surface is water.

Not exactly the same..  the Chinese station is about 31 times larger and if I had to guess, will not be full of explosive gas.

lol they expect it to crash anytime between this month and april, you think we have any idea where it may impact?

they said they wouldn't be able to predict that untill hours before impact.

It was the same when Skylab fell.  They had to wait for reports to know where it hit.  If it had hit in the ocean, they would have had no idea where.

What is this? A space station for ants?

How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to go to space if they can’t even fit inside the space station?

Not exactly news, nor unexpected.  The station was originally designed for a lifespan of 2 years when launched in 2011, and they announced the end of service in March of 2016, and later that year it was announced that they had lost control of the station and it was expected to reenter in "late 2017."

The last manned visit to the station was in June 2013.

All low-earth orbit objects fall out of orbit, unless you spend money to go up there with fuel and a motor to keep it in orbit. It's got more to do with physics than build quality.

But no, it's totally because the Chinese are completely inept.

I'm not a huge fan of China.  But you're not correct in your assessment.

This is still considered their early manned space program, the equivalent of Russia's Salyut (Soyuz) or our Skylab.  Skylab crashed into Australia!

We've completely shut China (and many others) out of this technology.  It is all export controlled under weapons non-proliferation laws including the design plans for rockets, satellites, and space stations.  Despite this, China has a lot of big achievements in space recently.

They are attempting to copy our spy satellite constellation as well.  To the point where they have surpassed Russia and all of Europe combined.

China is currently #3 in space programs.  Russia #2, USA #1.  They didn't get there with poor engineering.  They also didn't get there with a big budget.

Only if he can keep his mouth shut long enough to listen to ground control. However that's better than Sean Penn doing it and forgetting to close the air lock like he did with the drain plug on his boat during his hilarious Katrina fiasco.

You would think it will all burn up upon entry, but they said this "...Pieces weighing as much as 100kg may fall from the skies..."

220 lbs. chunk of metal, I would hope that it would land in the ocean, Obama's private home in DC, Clinton's house in NY, Pelosi's house in San Francisco, Southern Poverty Law Center headquarters, or even an ISIS bomb-making facility.
