Hepatitis A outbreak in Western PA is now focusing on contaminated green onions from Mexico (restaurant has been pretty much cleared of improper food handling)

Tally so far: 605 infected with Hep A, 3 deaths.

Authorities are stating that there is really no way to clean Hep A from onions...

CDC now has half a dozen people in the area (including Director Gerberding, who seems to be quite competent)

Just something to remember next time you're food shopping (Thank you NAFTA! :p
