I don't drink a lot of soda, but this is the best one. I actually like the diet one a little more than regular.

Also, the new Krispy Kreme cheerwine flavor is pretty great too. Sort of like a cherry cream soda.

This isn't really a discussion or anything, since everybody is already in agreement on this.

When my parents moved to NC, I was ready to like it....and I do, but its sort of meh....

I'd rather have a good root beer.....

I had cheerwine once, I think I liked it.  There was another soda that I had that tasted like root beer and cola mixed.  I think it was Moxie.  That was good.

It's nasty.  None of my kids even liked it.  There is a grape soda made in Birmingham, AL called Grapico that I tried recently.  It's seriously the best grape soda ever.  I've never had a craving for grape soda until I tried it.

Krispy Kreme Cheerwine is the NC equivalent of dividing by zero where sugar is the numerator.

I see it every now and then and some stores up here, I've never had it. I'll have to buy some.

It's an extremely poor choice for Cola Warrior.

I'm not sure you can regularly find it outside of the south except in specialty places. It's common here, sort of like how it can be hard to find a Faygo in some of the south.

It's just a cherry soda, nothing too mindblowing. But I decided to cut down my calories from sweet tea and once a week I get one of the big cups of diet cheerwine at the Sheets near my office with some vanilla syrup added in. Good shit.

I had that once, it is good. Most grape sodas leave you feeling like your teeth are covered in sugar, that one doesn't.

Will be all over the south next year. Will have to give it a go.

Food Lion carries Cheerwine sherbert.  I'm not a fan of it, but the wife really likes it.

It's available here now, and she never buys it.  lol

ITT NC members show up.

I only know of it because I grew up on the VA/NC line.

KY has ALE8. Oh how fantastically disgusting it is.

My aunt, who lives in NC used to bring me a case every time she came out to see her sister.(My mom)

We got Cheerwine popsicles on Ice Cream Day at work, not many people eat them, I understand why...Never had the soda though.

I like Cheerwine.  Rather have that than a Coke or Pepsi.  It's not my favorite by any means, a good root beer or cream soda is better.  (Or Stewarts Creamsicle, LOVE that)

Every Friday is Ice Cream Friday. They buy a bunch of ice cream bars, sandwhiches, cups, gallons random shit from the Ice Cream aisle at the store and stock up all of the freezers in every building. its a cheap way to build morale, everyone really looks forward to it.

I'm sitting in west Tennessee right now, and will be here and in Arkansas for the whole week. Now I want a Cheerwine and I won't be back in Virginia for five days :(

The greatest.  We finally can get it here in Louisville.  It's a buck per bottle but it's my special treat.

They're available in cans now but unfortunately that uses HFCS and isn't the same.  Fail cheeerwine, fail.

Drinking some now. I keep it in the house. People that have moved away from here to up north or out west where they don't have it, buy cases and cases of it to take back. There's nothing that tastes remotely like it, nothing.

The damn engineer sitting next to me is from North Carolina. And usually has a Cheerwine on his desk.

I can get it here. I'll trade you straight up for some Bosque Brewing Scale Tipper or La Cumbre Elevated.
Or a bushel of green chile.

Yep, love the taste of Cheerwine but I drink only diet drinks now. Occasionally I can find a diet Cherwine down this way so I enjoy it; same goes for Sun-Drop.
