These were taken by a Marine Corps F/A-18 crewman (I can't tell if he's a pilot or RIO) on deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. They are worth checking out. I've got my desktops for the next two years. This guy is good.

... Yup, quite a few folks here beat up on the 'ole FA18/E & F models, but they own the skies of the world at the moment. I love that bird, been working on her since LRIP. Here's one of my favorite jackets in my closet. Too bad I live in AZ and can't wear it

I agree with you. The F18 is a wonderful aircraft. Every model is good in its own way. I have been around them a long time, and know countless pilots. None of them regretted turning in thier Phantom for the Hornet.
