been looking at some of the less expensive lights out there. anyone have any of the cheap ones? Ive seen a few on ebay and amazon for cheap but I've never heard of the brands.
Looking to use primaraly as a hand held light but I would like the option of using a gun mount for a little nighttime predator hunting / raccoon around the chicken house shooting Anyone have any suggestions? |

This is my EDC light.
Very bright and about $25
http://www.amazon.com/TerraLUX-TLF-3C2AAEX-LightStar220-Aluminum-Flashlight/dp/B001IMCU66/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1370202762&sr=8-1&keywords=terralux+lightstar ETA I would not recommend a cheap light mounted on a firearm as they aren't built to handle the recoil. |

Best I can find for under $100. Cheaper is better. That's a "better" budget (in a sense), than you think. Idk whether they are "rated" for an AR, but, I ran these 2 Streamlights before upgrading to a SureFire. I currently use the bigger one at work, wife unit has the smaller one. I didn't really notice 'issues' with them at the range. Streamlight 88040 ProTAC HL - $65 Streamlight 88031 Protac 2L - $40 Mounted with; VTAC Light Mount - $25 ETA another Streamlight: Streamlight PolyTac - $34 |

This is CHEAP and BRIGHT

Also it looks a LOT like the one that is for sale in the NRA Store for $39.95 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006E0QAFY/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have one and it is my EDC... Aimless had a thread where he bought one and posted his impressions...

Best I can find for under $100. Cheaper is better. At this price range you should be looking at the mid-range tactical lights with Cree XML LEDs, like Jetbeam, Klarus, EagleTac, Nitecore, etc. Check out the Klarus XT11. I believe it's shock-proofed specifically for weapon mounts. Amazon has it for about $75. |
