Just had 2 women knock on the front door. The wife answered. I was sitting on the couch . The minute the introduced themselves I felt my bp rise. They asked my wife if they could ask us their questions and I said no we are busy. My wife being who she is was very polite and cordial.
Then I heard one of the women say " yes we talk to people in the homes from 12 years old and up. "  . Right there I had to end it . I asked them to leave and now the wife ain't to happy with me for being an ass hole.
So anyway were any of you aware that they are instructed to talk to children about shit that is none of their business in the first place? Bad enough they interupt us on a weekend but my head almost exploded when they brought up the 12 years old an above shit. Tinfoil to tight. ? |

They didn't really get a chance to ask anything with me heckling in the background.  they did ask her for our phone number an when would be a good time to call. Not sure how the subject about kids came up . I just remember seeing red when it did.

At times I wonder how many Representative Districts have been formed incorrectly because excessively paranoid people refused to do their Constitutionally Defined Duty.

I always fill out the form to indicate how many people are in the house, and their ages. That's all they need to draw districts. |

My inlaws keep getting one of those community survey things from Census.
They keep mailing it and the inlaws keep throwing it away. When Census called they said it was illegal not to fill out; but the inlaws just keep ignoring it. If it was me, and I was told it's illegal to not fill out, I'd say "OK, charge me. Otherwise, GTFOff my phone". |

Last time I read the constitution, it said "Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct." Enumeration is a pretty clearly defined term, meaning "count". Not "how much money do you make? How many bathrooms do you have? How far do you drive to work? How many cars do you have?". Congress has the authority to direct HOW the People are counted, not that they can require you to answer a bunch of questions that aren't related to the counting. |
