Just bought a 2007 model with 352 hours.

The feet for the outriggers have rubber inserts for street use.
I want regular metal feet for use in dirt. I asked the local Cat dealer and he looked it up and said that the rubber is all they make. The pad looks like it can be turned over and there are some small scallops but nothing like the full size metal cleats on my New Holland 555. Surely Cat makes an all metal aggressive foot for use in dirt for their backhoes.

anyone?

The rubber pads work fine in the dirt.

I belive on smaller back hoes the feet roate up and that allows you to put the metal side down.

I havent used a backhoe in years.  Own a pc150 now.

I've been around construction for 30 yrs. Never seen a problem with rubber pads on outriggers.

I have used rubber ones that work when they are in a U shape and open in the middle so it sinks in the earth a little. This new machine has a solid block of rubber may 8" wide and a foot long. It would be great on the street but doesnt do well in dirt, IMHO

You could fabricate those fairly easily out of 1" plate
