What happened is that Israel is holding almost 10,000 prisoners, so when the militants in Lebanon or in Gaza take one or two soldiers, Israel looks upon this as a justification for an attack on the civilian population of Lebanon and Gaza. I do not think that's justified, no. ETA I believe Carter leaves out the missile attack by Hezbollah on the first day. Guess a guy can't be expected to remember every little detail, especially when as a Democrat he pretty much has taken the apologist job. 10,000 prisoners sounds like a lot. You'd think it might give the Hezzies some incentive to show some good will and negotiate especially after Israel pulled out of Gaza. They never miss an opportunity .....  |

Damn....you must be right. It is just hard for an East Texas country boy to understand the hate some have for Jewish people. If those quotes are real and in context, either he knows a lot about the situation I don't or he's fucking coo-coo. |
