Our neighbor passed away this weekend from cancer. She was late 30s maybe 40... Single mom, her one son is around 14 (about to be a sophomore in HS). She was the kind of woman that put a smile on your face every time you talked to her... Never lost her faith, and was one of the best people I've ever known. She fought it for 2 years after a diagnosis of 8 months maximum.
Her family, namely her father, has been a huge support and will be raising the kid. They're setting up a college fund for him and the neighborhood is coming together to make a donation. They are great people and I'm sure they'll be fine, but if you're the praying kind please keep them in your prayers. He's a good kid and I feel horrible for him. Thanks in advance! |
