transport a rifle, to an adjoining state for a recreational shoot, if the rifle IS legal in the adjoining state ????

EX..I live in WASHINGTON...There is a shoot listed here in the meetings section in OREGON.  I am fairly sure these AR's are legal in BOTH states. Can I throw it in the trunk and go????

Thanks for any LEARNED advice.....
