I am in a pickle. I got a American security safe from a store in the mall that went out of business. I put a couple of lowers and my mark 23 pistol in it. My wife was cleaning and tossed the combination... I already know I have beat myself up about it.
My options are call a locksmith or cut it open. Everything is 1" thick. If I call the manufacture are they just going to blow me off? I'm sure they will. Do manufactures even keep the combination numbers? Have tools and a port a power but I would rather not cut it up. Help Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I can't tell you my safe number as I type but somehow when I turn the dial the numbers come up.
I'd try to go from the heart and muscle memory also you can look up manufactor and send serial number notirized staement saying your the owner and they send you the combo |

If you have a receipt of sale the Mfg should be able to help you out. Is the lock manual or digital/electronic? Most SG electronic locks have a master combo or at least an initial combo to get you in so you can program your own.
The best thing would be to contact Amsec in the morning an see what they suggest. Wes |
A good lock smith can open it! My safe arrived and would not open with the combination proved. The company sent a lock smith and he had it open in 3 minutes flat He said that one of the tumblers had been damaged in shipment. He took the lock apart replaced the tumble and the lock work with the original combination ever since! So that left me thinking how many folks out their know how to do this

STOP DO NOT CUT IT OPEN!!!!
There should be a serial number at the bottom right corner of the front of the safe. If you give that number back to the place you bought it from to an authorized dealer, along with proof it is yours, they can get the combo from the manufacturer. |
