No I bought a HK91 style rifle instead. Just from reading up on the gun and seeing what its all about yeah its a POS. The Spanish only used it for 10 years or so.

Any places that sell these? A non AR 556 rifle would be fun.

Especially since these were used in the movie HEAT.

About to watch the video, but are they going to be selling completed build kits like others did with AK's and Galil's?

I've had both the CETME and the 93 copy, but ended up getting rid of both.  Since the Cetme L uses AR mags, it might stick around.

I believe there was one or two that are working on it.

I'm sitting on a kit, got snubbed on a barrel, and lost track of who is doing what.

I don't want a project.  I want a gun.

There wasn't a CETME used in the movie "Heat." They used FN FAL's, M16's, HK 91, Galil ARM 5.56, HK SR9, FN FNC 5.56 rifle, and a Norinco 56. But, not a single, solitary CETME rifle in any caliber.

From what I see the main issues with it were the issued mags, and springs.

Both of which I can easily fix, therefore I fo'd on all the different models.

Still trying to find the right scope for the STANAG mount though.

I'm pretty sure al Pacino used a CETME. could have also been an ACR.

I think that other than the CETME-L being a variant of the basic design, the similarities stop with that.

It wouldn't be fair to compare the NATO CETME, or the H&K-91 or even a PTR-91 to that abortion.

If I was you I wouldn't go to Vegas. You'd lose big time. He used an FN FNC. I had one of those and they're easily distinguishable from the cheap, crappy CETME rifles. I don't think that ACR rifles (2007) were even an idea, much less a production rifle back then in 1995.

I looked again, I don't think it's an ACR. actually looks like some sort of AR180. I'd put my money on that.

CETME was my first EBR.

<---- (screen name)

It kaboomed and almost cost me a hand.

I still have the pieces buried in the safe. I think its fixable with some welding and I always figured if semi autos ever get banned it would be nice to have a preban serial number.
