Hi! Just have read, that Cerberus now owns DPMS, too! IIRC they already own Remington. What´s with Marlin??? And what´s next? S & W? I remember, when they were a "Bangor - Punta" Company ... And then? RCBS and the whole conglomerat? Also UM´s and Hoppe´s are already togehter, could be easily bought ... Would you mind to write here which ( arms manufacturers especially ) they own? It´s just for my own curiousity, and to plan where to stock up on parts, as shortcuts might come ... Thanks in advance, Hermann |

Cerberus' purchase of those companies was the best thing that could have happened for us. The CEO is majorly pro-gun and it helps our cause to have an 800lb gorilla to toss some money and influence (but I repeat myself) around in Washington. One large corporation with billions of dollars can make things happen much easier than several smaller companies. |

Firearms - Acquired Bushmaster Firearms, Inc., from Windham, Maine native Dick Dyke for an undisclosed sum in April 2006, and purchased Remington Arms in April 2007. Under Cerberus direction, Bushmaster Firearms acquired Cobb Manufacturing, a well-respected manufacturer of large-caliber tactical rifles in August 2007. Cerberus also announced the acquisition of DPMS Panther Arms in December 2007.[4] Remington Arms is in the process of acquiring Marlin Firearms. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cerberus_Capital_Management |

YESSS, that´s the question I forgot: whether they are Anti - or Pro - gun! But it was a mistake by me anyway: makes no sense buying companies making firearms and then NOT supporting them! Thanks for the replies, but if you know of other companies belonging to them or in their sights, please tell me! Hermann P.S.: the only danger to "us", the gun loving fraternity, is, that, the fewer the companies, the less choices, and if one crashes or get´s under other management, more is lost! |
But it that helps them stay in business that could be a good thing. |
Is that where the putting bullets in mags backwards comes from? Or are they in correctly. |
That picture rules. |
