I'm posting this thread here for wider range or answers, if this is the wrong place, mods/staff can move it.

So I recently purchased Metallica's "Ride the Lightening" and "Justice For All" CDs.

I loaded them up to Itunes and put them on my Ipod. When ever I listen to the songs it sounds like there is static in the background. It sounds like a ceiling fan or something is spinning and something is brushing against it. A sort of tip tip tip tip tip. Its almost like a record skipping. It comes and goes and doesn't happen with all the songs, but with a few on both CDs. I've noticed it listening to the CDs in my car stereo, on my computer and on my Ipod.

I purchased a version of "One" on Itunes prior to buying the CDs and it doesn't have this distortion while the CD version does. Whats up? Is this supposed to be there or do I have fucked up CDs?

Sounds like they got corrupted when you put them in your computer. Try putting them on another computer and uploading them to your iTunes account. I think it's your hardware/software is the problem.
