I have contacted the NRA twice, once by phone (left a message) and once by e-mail (no response), trying to get information on how I can become a certified CCW instructor in the state of WV. Can anybody steer me in the right direction or forward me some info on how it works.

Thanks

Anybody? Or should I have this put in a different section?

Each state sets the requirements for their standards on becoming a CCW instructor. The NRA only certifies their NRA shooting courses. Both are completely different, with any overlap probably being accidental.

Not to excuse the NRA not answering, but you may have asked the wrong department perhaps?

I kind of figured that after reading some of the criteria that people in other states had to meet. I just thought maybe the NRA would be the place to start. Thanks

Hope you have an easier time getting a class to be certified as an NRA instructor than I had in Ohio.  The folks over there in Springfield refused to train me because I wanted to do it on the side and make a few bucks doing CCW classes.  Since I didn't want to be part of their group (driving 45 minutes each way) and do it for free, they said they wouldn't teach me the course.

As far as I know, you just need to get in on a class for the instructor-level courses and pass them.  That's how it was a couple years ago, anyway.
