This happened late last night. Fire was huge. Ontario, CA Firefighters were battling a massive six-alarm blaze that investigators believe was intentionally set by a warehouse employee in San Bernardino County early Tuesday morning. Authorities initially believed he was a Kimberly-Clark employee, but later clarified that he's actually an employee of NFI Industries, a third-party distributor for Kimberly-Clark. |

Before I worked for the Borg I had applied for a position at a repackaging facility which basically made those mixed chocolate, candy, etc holiday and Halloween mixed bags using products from the main production facilities. The Borg owned the land, building and all the equipment inside of the building down to the office equipment. A outside company provided maintenance, supervision and office support personnel. Another outside company provided and managed the production workers. So it doesn't surprise me that third parties are in these warehouses. Same with a major grocery distribution center I worked at. Truck mechanics were one union, facilities mechanics were another union, the floor people were another union. Management was company. |

Lying to insurance companies, bribing fire marshalls, evading code enforcement... In the end they are just gambling with everything they have. They all seem to think if shit does burn down the truth won't get revealed and there won't be an impact on the insurance covering it. |

I watched a video of a person filming themselves inside a warehouse type structure while setting pallets of merchandise on fire. Is this the same incident? In the video he was mumbling about wages. The fire system sustained structural damage by the fire and rendered in-op early into the fire. Poop happens I suppose. I was being sincere when I suggested it was a good guess. I could see how big companies might defer maintenance or even try to circumvent standards because it saves them money. Either way, I hope that guy gets fucked good and hard. I saw the live video and he’s a selfish ass that put coworkers in danger because he’s a loser. |
